What You See From “Back to the Mac”

This year, 2010, is special for us and especially for our Apple fans. When talking about "Back to the Mac" event, we'd better have a look at what had happened to Apple this year first. Apple has given several keynote presentations and product announcements this year, such as "Apple Special Event September 2010", "Back to the Mac", etc. Among them the most important Apple event given by Jobs is "Back to the Mac" Event, which has greatly changed our life style and gives us a refreshed view on our digital life, that is, simplicity.

Either "Back to the Mac" or any other events, Apple has told us we must pursue a simpler and easier life. In fact, human being's eager to purchase a simple but superb life has never stopped, and this has completely showed up in this event and Apple's other events. That's why Apple's products have received so enthusiastic welcome and it's no doubt they will get more and more hugs. We could see iPod nano has accepted a mini interface with no keyboard but multi-touch. And at the "Back to the Mac" event, what's fantastic we find is the new MacBook Air looks really stunning and small, with 13.3 inch and its little brother just 11.6 inch -- even smaller and lighter. Yes, it's amazingly thin. At its thickest point, it is 0.68 inches thin and tapers to 0.11 inches. Though they are simpler in design or in appearance, yet more powerful in application, becoming much more socialized with music, social networking and other important applications integrated, like Ping, iLife 11, FaceTime, etc. However, after seeing these, what's your idea? What the aftermath of these events, how do you think about? You might have realized that we will need more "weapons" to arm them. As there are fewer and fewer wares being built into the future generation notebook to make it smaller and lighter, i.e., much more mobile. Then we need a DVD player to play our discs, and an external optical drive may be a must for most of us in the future since now there is no optical drive. And then much more ideas, like Jobs have referred, multitouch gestures being applied to Mac, and no keyboard, that is what would like when Mac meets iPad.

We should appreciate Apple and Jobs for giving us so many wonderful things, making us enjoy simple and superb life in the left time of 2010 and the following years as we still have many great expectations they promised. However, with this so-called more reliable way (what Jobs said), we have to arm our MacBooks with much more "weapons". Anyway, we have the freedom to choose, like to buy or not to buy, or what to buy. Then, to some extent, it's not a bad thing.
